About

I am a lecturer in Baylor University’s Department of Political Science. Prior to starting this position in August 2024, I was a junior research fellow (postdoc) in politics at the University of Oxford’s New College and received my PhD in comparative government (comparative politics) from Georgetown University’s Department of Government (Political Science) in 2022. I grew up in Phillips in Wisconsin’s great Northwoods. After earning my Honors BA in international affairs and history from Marquette University, I taught English at Majengo Secondary School in Moshi, Tanzania, as a Jesuit Volunteer. I subsequently worked as a graduate research assistant at American University during my international affairs MA studies and as a graduate research and teaching assistant at Georgetown University during my PhD studies.
